Cushions

Is a sofa complete without cushions? Here you will find four sets of cushions with various approaches. Some are made with handspun yarn with a soft and shiny wool and then dyed in bright and cheery natural dyes. Other sets are woven from bought-in yarns. One or two cushions are woven with up-cycled pieces of fabric. Another set of five has strips of silk woven in. All of them are one-offs exclusively made up, designed and woven by me.

Rugs

If you are looking for exclusive, artistic handwoven and climate-friendly rugs, where some of them are made with yarn that is handspun from British wool and then dyed with natural dyestuff, then look no further. There are also rugs that retain sheep wool's natural colourings, and often contrasted with linen yarns. The handspun yarns and dyeing process are free from harmful chemicals. Everything has been designed and made by me at my studio. One can rest assured that one is doing the absolute best for oneself and for the climate.

Art

The essential for me in my art is that one should feel it, rather like feeling a rhythm, but that also literally it should feel good to the touch. A decoration or an installation on a wall or on a floor lends harmony to the room and therefore also to the soul. This is my Artistic Statement.

Weavetowear

In order to adorn a person, the wall around the person or the floor, the object is one and the same. It should be pleasing both to the eye and to the touch and leave you with the knowledge that it is made ethically. The weavetowear label fulfills these criteria with an entire range of handwoven, handspun and naturally dyed textiles, made in both the UK and Denmark. Having said that, a new range of jackets, waistcoats and bags, handwoven by myself from Harris Tweed yarn of pure British wool, is coming. If you wish to care and choose to be conscious about what you purchase, wearing cloth which hasn't been through the fashion industry is the way forward.

Beach Bags

For you who do not want to take Prada to the beach, weavetowear has designed and handwoven a small one-off collection of youthful string beach bags. And if you would like to brighten up a grey winter's day, we have sewn two tweed string-patchwork bags. Weavetowear is also looking forward to be able to offer you some one-off shoulder-bags.

‭Cloth

Handwoven cloth for art as well as for coats, jackets, waistcoats for men and women, etc. or for interiors. All made free of microfibres, with only biodegradable materials made by myself in my studio. The wool used is a pure tweed which will keep off the cold of winter. I was living on the Outer Hebrides, the actual home of Harris Tweed production. The yarn is pure wool from one of the very last Harris Tweed Mills in Shawbost, on the eastside of the island, Harris, set against the Atlantic ocean. When made up it becomes terrific winter garments and good for cycling. Weavetowear gives you the ultimate for a conscious climate-friendly choice.
