Kalaallit Nunaat
Arctic Whisper
The Inuit that inhabits the worlds largest Isle calls their land Kalaallit Nunaat. Today it is an autonomous land, yet under the so-called Danish Commomwealth as a former colony of Denmark. We call this very white country Greenland. The Danes also like to call its inhabitants
eskimoer, but in the oldest known writings one finds the name Inuit Nunaat, the Land of the Inuit. After years of feeling lower if not inferior to the colonial power, Denmark, should we not at long last acknowledge that which they recognise as their ancestry and call them Inuit and their land Kalaalit Nunaat?
