Tweed Back-Pack
This Back-Pack will bring cheer to a grey winter's day. It is one of two weavetowear exceptions in that I didn't weave the tweed I used to sew it, but used some Harris tweed samples I had from when I lived in the Outer Hebrides. It is lined with cotton calico. It suits a trip out on a bicycle perfectly but that would be to limit its use. It was when I lived there that I was taught to weave tweed. That Tweed today has a reputation for being stylish, modern and classic, high fashion and street fashion, as well as being highly durable, is very much down to the inhabitant of these isles, as many a crofter still today weaves tweed on their semi-automated looms. The bag measures 38 x 42 cm.
