Tweed BackPack

This back-pack will put some cheer into a grey winter's day. It is one of two at weavetoweave where I have not woven the tweed itself, but have sewn it with some Harris tweed samples I had from the time I lived in the Outer Hebrides. It was there that I learned to weave tweed, and it is thanks to the inhabitant of these isles that Tweed has got its reputation for being highly fashionable, both classic and modern, high fashion and street fashion, and exceptionally durable, as they still today weave tweed on semi-automated looms in their crofts. The bag is lined with cotton calico. It will be great for a trip out on a bicycle, but that would be to limit its use. There are no plastic or petroleum-based products used in any of weavetowear's items. I think that there is evidence enough today that we should cut back and limit their use. The bag measures 38 x 42 cm
