Pink-Pinstripe
Talk about slow-fashion and sustainability, then you are on the right track. All here is woven by hand by me in my studio. The photo above shows a classic Herringbone Tweed pattern woven with ultra soft brown-reddish angora yarn, combined with a linen in a shade of corn, and a pink and grey cotton yarn running through the fabric. The combination is lovely to the feel, and it drapes beautifully. It would suit a dress, or equally a light jacket, a tunic or a blouse. As there is rarely far from dress fabrics to soft interiors, this fabric can also be used as such. It's 31 1/2 inches (80 cm) wide. If interested do get in touch with information regarding how much you would need.
I try not to use professional weaving terminology as one finds similar or even the very same words used in today's computing terminology. Interestingly, as looms became more complex they set a precedent for the development of the early computers. If curious look at
'How an 1803 Jacquard Loom Led to Computer Technology'.
I have 28 x 146 inches (72 x 370 cm) left of this pink-pinstriped fabric.
