These bigger cushions will fit nicely in a larger corner-settee arrangement, with space for the entire family, but could as easily be thrown onto the floor to enjoy a film. They are handwoven as kilims. The yarn used is handspun wool of the highest quality from the old Wensleydale sheep breed from Yorkshire, after which the yarn was dyed with the blue plant indigo fera. The other colours are also plant based. That is except for the black, which is a cotton yarn, as well as the pure white. The wool is soft but strong and has a slight shine. They were woven out of a wish of mine to somehow celebrate the huge amount of art and crafts in times gone by which we build upon today. The inner cushions are from the UK with extra down proof cotton covers and duck feathers. They measure 48 x 74 cm. This is the ultimate in de-consumerism, in helping to build a circular economy, free of harmful toxicity and fully sustainable.
