Baltic Sea

A cushion set in five variations. The cushions are cuddly, sensuous and look beautiful. Together they form a palette of cheerful red, blue, off white and golden colours woven with a technique that lends them structure, set off by a bit of black and a single stripe in grey wool between up-cycled silk. The silk I have spared for this creates an interplay between the various types of yarn. The interplay between sea and sky springs to mind, as the inspiration indeed was the Baltic Sea where I now live.They are hand woven and sewn by hand. The inner cushions are made in Denmark and filled with duck feather. They measure 40 x 40 cm.
