These two cushions are handwoven. The fronts are woven as kilims with strips of cotton rags, as in rag-rugs, and the backs are woven in soft cotton yarn. They are totally huggable as well as seriously cute. Weaving with rags is a Nordic art examples of which are worthy of becoming museum pieces. Imagine that the wornout clothing of an entire family can be made into rugs for that same family for yet another generation. That is the ultimate in de-consumerism and will help build a true circular economy. The cushions are free of harmful toxicity and are fully sustainable. The cushions are 35 x 35 cm.
