zip-up blouse
This blouse is woven with the finest British worsted yarn. Worsted, as opposed to a 'woollen' fabric such as tweed, has gone through a process of aligning the fibres before it was spun into yarn. That ensures a smoother surface where in other woollen fabrics, such as knitting yarns, the wool makes for a hairier type of cloth. After I finished weaving the fabric I thought the colour a bit dull, so I overdyed it with a natural Indigo.
The blouse was sewn in a so-called princess style, where the seam ends in two slits that are closed up at the ends. They can be opened up or closed all together to fit.
The blouse has three red zips: one at the back, one at the right seam, and a small one thought of more as a slit at the left side. It is a medium size 38.
